Parallettes are a scaled-down version of the gymnastics parallel bars, which are used in various gymnastic exercises such as pushups, L-seats, and handstands, to name a few. Commercial versions are typically made of wood, and vary in length. Parallettes are also commonly home-constructed out of PVC due to cost efficiency, ease of construction, and versatility.
