Light Drop

A light drop, or saut de fond in French (literally 'jump to the ground' / 'jump to the floor),[1] is a parkour and free running technique where one drops down off an object, usually of lesser height than the person, and lands safely; the reason it is called a light drop is because there is insufficient force or forward momentum to necessitate a roll out of the drop. Basically, a drop of this type can be done safely without needing to distribute the force over a large surface area, as with a forward roll or a dive roll.
