Short-term exercise or activity in which muscle fibers derive contractile energy from stored internal compounds without the use of oxygen from the blood. These compounds include ATP, CP, and Glycogen. Examples are sprinting, weightlifting. Anaerobic means without oxygen. It is the opposite of aerobic exercise.[1]
